"Reading Terminal Market West"

On Monday the 19th of November, the Marketplace at East Falls will open at 8:00 am. It's basically going to be Northwest Philadelphia's version of the Reading Terminal Market, with produce, prepared foods, wines sales, etc.

I'm continually stunned at the efforts of newcomers and real estate agents to dub this part of North Philadelphia, "East Falls." If anything, this wonderful market development should be heralded as a sign of a decent part of North Philly reviving itself.

If anything, the area should take on a new moniker like "Laurel Hill."

Honestly, I wish this market the best and I look forward to visiting, but East Falls ends north of Allegheny. If the streets have numbers, a north address, and cross a street like Lehigh or Allegheny - it's North Philadelphia.
