Rendell said the Barnes move would move Philadelphia "to the ranks of the great cities of the world." Among art lovers and tourists, Rendell said, Philadelphia will become "a must-see" city. The Barnes’ collection consists of 181 Renoirs, 61 Cézannes, 60 Matisses and a multitude of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, African and African American art and artifacts.
